What we collect
NutriEat collects your name, email address, and account password when you register. When you use the scanner, we record the barcodes you scan, the time and date, and the results shown to you. We also collect your allergen profile and health goals if you choose to set them.
How we use it
We use your data to provide the app, personalise your allergen alerts and nutrition scores, improve product data accuracy, and send you service communications. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Health data
Allergen and dietary preference information is treated as sensitive data. It is stored encrypted and is never shared with advertisers or third parties without your explicit consent.
Data retention
Scan history is retained for 12 months unless you delete it. Account data is retained while your account is active and for 30 days after cancellation, after which it is permanently deleted.
Your rights
- Access or download your data at any time from Settings.
- Delete your scan history at any time.
- Request full account deletion from Settings → Privacy.
- Opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
